Ryan Masaaki Yokota is a co-founder and editor of the Nansei Hibakusha group and website. He is a second generation hibakusha, as his father and paternal grandparents survived the nuclear bombings at Hiroshima. His maternal grandparents’ families migrated from Okinawa and Fukushima. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in Japanese History at the University of Chicago. Follow him on Twitter @RyanYokota.
