More Ships in 1954 Hydrogen Bomb Tests Exposed Than Reported

Newly released documents from the 1954 Bikini Atoll Hydrogen Bomb tests that had supposedly been “missing” show that fishermen from as many as 12 ships out of 556 ships had been exposed to radiation levels at over 100 millisieverts per minute, a level that is considered to cause long term impacts on health.  Some of those exposed have been dying of leukemia, prompting suggestions that their deaths are linked to radiation exposure.
